Blue Marsh Lake was constructed in 1978 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The lake was originally built for flood control. Since then, the lake has transformed more into a recreational spot for outdoorsmen. It is located in western Berks County, fed into by the Tulpehocken Creek. Blue Marsh was the name of the village that was located where the lake now resides. With 1,147 acres of water and 36 miles of trails, Blue Marsh Lake is the perfect place for any sportsman!
